Sunday Shopping in Shanghai

Sunday morning we headed off to Peoples Square and grabbed a Starbucks for breakfast. Sadly it was raining and our plans were scuppered for the day. We changed the plan so that we would be inside for the majority of the day and went shopping. Yey. My favourite place was Nanjing West Road Market. There was millions of stall basically selling the same thing. Along with millions of Chinese shop owners pestering you. We had quite a giggle as they never took no for an answer, sometimes they got angry and one woman said, “I can say FUCK you know”. Crazy Lady.

We went to several other markets and department stores, towards the end of the day my main shopping purpose was to buy a gold Buddha pendant and a chain. Luckily I found one, and its Rose Gold so not as yellow as China Gold. It’s so cute and I’ve been told its supposed to be the Buddha for Happiness.

Sunday night Jeremy arranged for us to go to a Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant. This was delicious. I’m very proud of myself as I tried oysters woo. After the meal we went to a few bars. Cocktails Galore.
